Data controller

IMEIVerify (imeiverify.info) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: contact@imeiverify.info.

Personal data we process

Providing an IMEI is voluntary, but a check cannot be run without one. We do not use cookies or similar technologies.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests: providing the checks you request, responding to correspondence, and keeping the site secure and available. We handle data protection complaints to comply with a legal obligation.

Recipients

Our hosting, email and data providers process personal data on our behalf.

International transfers

Our hosting provider, Render Inc., is based in the United States and runs our servers in Germany. Both transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations, for the United States through the UK-US data bridge, which Render has joined.

Owners of checked devices

If someone enters the IMEI of your device, we receive it from them and send it to our data provider, which returns the device's model, estimated purchase date and country, and its blacklist, lock, activation and warranty status. We keep neither the IMEI nor those details, so we cannot confirm whether a particular IMEI has been checked. The rights below apply to you.

Right to object

You may object at any time to our processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests. Email contact@imeiverify.info.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal data, or its rectification, erasure or restriction, by emailing contact@imeiverify.info.

Complaints

Complaints may be sent to contact@imeiverify.info. You may also complain to the Information Commission (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
